  1. Andruil - The name given by Aragorn to the the blade that was broken, also the sword of Elendil.

  2. Arkenstone - The stone that was found at the center of the Lonely Mountain. It was coveted by Thorin, and Bilbo used it to try and avoid a battle between the dwarves and the elves and men. Upon the death of Thorin in The Battle of the Five Armies, the stone was placed with Thorin under the Lonely Mountain.

  3. Athelas - Also known as kingsfoil and asea aranion. The leaves with a sweet fragrance when crushed. They also have healing properties. They were used by Aragorn to ease the pain of Frodo's ringwraith wound. Aragorn also used the leaves later to heal Faramir, Eowen, and Merry.

  4. Elendilmir - A white gem that was worn by the Kings of Arnor instead of a crown, it was also called the star of Elendil.

  5. Ent-draughts - The drink of Ents, Pipin and Merry drank these with Treebeard resulting in quite a growth spurt.

  6. Glamdring - A sword made by the elven craftsmen of the fallen city of Gondolin, Gandalf wielded this sword after finding it in the cave of three trolls. This sword being of Gondolin, glowed at the presence of orcs. Its partner sword is Orcist.

  7. Grond - The name of the mace of Melkor. It was used by Melkor in his battle against Fingolfin creating large pits.

  8. Gurthang - The sword used by Turin after Beleg was slain. After killing Glaurung, Turin talks to the sword before turning it on himself. The sword says, "Yea, I will drink thy blood, that I may forget the blood of Beleg my master, and the blood of Brandir slain unjustly. I will slay thee swiftly." The sword broke with the death of Turin. It was also known as "Iron of Death", and the "Black Thorn of Brethil". It was named Anglachel by Beleg, its previous owner.

  9. Laurelin - One of the two trees of Valinor, created by Yavanna. It was known as the "Song of Gold" and the "Tree of the Sun". The other tree was Telperion. Both trees originally lit the entire world. The light of this tree was captured by the silmarils, which were crafted by Fëanor. The two trees were destroyed by Morgoth and Ungoliant. A seedling from each tree was reproduced and those became the sun and the moon.

  10. Mirror of Galadriel - It is used by Galadriel to see the past, present, and the future. She allowed Frodo and Sam to take a look into it.

  11. Narsil - The name of the sword of Elendil, it broke when he battled with Sauron. It was afterwards called the shards of Elendil and the sword that was broken, until it was reforged and Aragorn renamed it Andruil.

  12. Narya - One of the three elven rings created by Celebrimbor, it was possessed by Gandalf. It had a stone as red as fire. Círdan gave Gandalf the ring because he realized that he would need the strength of the ring for his many tasks.

  13. Naugrim - A famed piece of jewelry crafted by dwarves and discovered in the ruin of Nargothrond. When Thingol had a silmaril set in it, the dwarves crafting it killed Thingol and with it fled.

  14. Nenya - One of the three elven rings created by Celebrimbor, it was possessed by Galadriel. It was made of mithril and had a white stone.

  15. Orcist - A sword made by the craftsmen of the fallen city of Gondolin, Thorin Oakenshield wielded this sword after discovering it in the cave of three trolls. This sword being made in Gondolin, glowed at the presence of orcs. Its partner sword was Glamdring. It was buried with Thorin.

  16. Palantir - Gifts of the Eldar to the house of Elendil, they are seeing stones. All seven of the stones were saved from the destruction of Númenor by Elendil. The stones were kept in Minas Arnor (Tirith), the Orthanc, Minas Sul, Osgiliath, Minas Ithil (Morgul), Annuminas, and Emyn Beraid. The stone at the tower of Emyn Beraid was only capable of looking out to the sea to Eressëa, and it was taken by Círdan on the ship with Elrond. The stone of Minas Arnor was not used after the death of the kings until Denethor used it. He took it with him when he burned himself alive and, if used, only his hands could be seen (unless the person has a strong mind). The stones of Amon Sul and Annuminas were lost when the ship of King Arvedui sunk. The stone of the Orthanc was used by Saruman and kept him in contact with Sauron. Grima Wormtongue threw this at Gandalf and thus it was used by Pippin. After this, Aragorn decided to show himself to Sauron with this palantí. The stone of Osgiliath was lost with the cities destruction and the stone of Minas Ithil was taken by Sauron.

  17. Phial of Galadriel - A gift from Galadriel to Frodo, it captured the light of Earendil's silmaril. It was used by Sam against Shelob the Spider and the watcher at the gate of Cirith Ungol.

  18. Red book - The book of the History of Middle-earth written by Bilbo, Frodo, and Sam. Later a copy was made of the red book for Aragorn and was personally delivered by Pipin on his last trip. The book was passed down to Eleanor and her descendants.

  19. Ring of Barahir - This ring was given to Barahir by Finrod Felagund. It became the heirloom of the Kings of Arnor. King Arvedui gave it to the Snowmen of Forochel for their help. The surviving Dunédain bought it back from the Snowmen.

  20. Ringil - The name of Fingolfin's sword, it was used by Fingolfin against Melkor.

  21. Rothinzil - The name of Eärendil's ship which flies through the sky. Rothinzil means "Foam-flower" and is also known as Vingilot.

  22. Ruling Ring - The ring made by Sauron, its purpose was to control the user of the Three Elven rings and the lesser rings. There is a well-known elven saying about the rings.

  23. Sceptre of Annúminas - After the colapse of the realm of Arnor, the sceptre was given to Elrond for safe keeping. It was the sceptre of the Kings of Arnor, and in Númenor it was the Silver Sceptre of the Lords of Andúnie. It is most likely the oldest surviving work of the men of Númenor.

  24. Silmarils - Three jewels crafted by Feanor and hallowed by Manwe, they captured the light of the two trees Teleperion and Laurelin. They were stolen by Melkor. Beren and Luthien stole one from the crown of Melkor at request of Thingol. That jewel was passed down until Earendil recieved it. He now flys through the skies wearing the silmaril on his brow. The other two silmarils were recovered by two sons of Feanor Maehdros and Maglor. They were burned by its touch causing Maglor to throw his into the sea and Maehdros to jump in a pit of fire with his.

  25. Telperion - One of the two trees of Valinor, created by Yavanna. It was known as the "White Tree of Valinor". The other tree was Laurelin. Both trees originally lit the entire world. The light of this tree was captured by the silmarils, which were crafted by Fëanor. The two trees were destroyed by Morgoth and Ungoliant. A seedling from each tree was reproduced and those became the sun and the moon.

  26. Thrór's map - Recovered by Gandalf from Thráin in the prisons of Dol Goldur, the map showed the secret door leading into the Lonely Mountain. Runes were also written on the map which could only be read on the night of .

  27. Vilya - One of the three elven rings created by Celebrimbor, it was the mighteous of the three and was possessed by Elrond. It was made of gold and in it was set a blue stone.

  28. White Tree - The tree was from the line of Nimloth, a seed of Galathilion, which was a seed of Telperion. The tree withered with the death of Belecthor, steward of Gondor. No seedling was found until Gandalf led Aragorn to Mount Mindolluin and Aragorn found one growing.
