'Gun Toting Liberals' realizes that not all of our members are "out of the closet" as gun owners, gun rights supporters, or liberals. Therefore we do not give last names unless we get expressed permission to do so. Since we can't think of a good reason to ask for permission, we aren't listing any last names. If you want us to use your last name, drop us a line and we will be happy to add it. We do encourage people to come out as gun owners. You will be surprised how many of your friends are also shooters and gun owners. For those of your friends who don't "get the gun thing," take them shooting. You just might win some converts.

#000-00-005 Brian is in Oregon, and is the head of the Northwestern Division.

#000-00-007

Mike T. lives in Oklahoma and is just happy to have the membership number "007," so he doesn't get his own division. He "works" for America Online.

#000-00-008

Bob P. lives in Oklahoma. He deals and oil drilling equipment, and is just a hell of a guy.

#000-00-009

Amy lives in Oklahoma. She is a "Customer Care Consultant" for America Online. She is also the Sheriff's daughter, and claims to be a better shot than any of us, but has yet to prove it.
#000-00-010 Stuart lives in Florida, and is a College Professor.
#000-00-011 Dave Lives in Florida, and we are not quite sure what Dave does.
#000-00-012 Bob Q Lives in Texas, and is involved in animal rescue.

Roxanne Q lives in Texas with Bob. Since Roxanne is the first member to actually fill out the profile, I include it here. Heck, I might even give her her own page.

A recent convert, Roxanne quickly went from, "No guns!" to, "collect them all and shoot them with your friends." She is still unclassified in IDPA from the unique ability to break a body part just before qualification meets. (It's hard to do defensive shooting with a broken hip). She has been called an "AR Wacko", from both sides of the extreme (something I'm very proud of). She also says, "I'm to much of a wimp to shoot anything except in self defense, I have no problem eating the Venison that my friend has brought down. As long as they can do a clean kill, hunters do far less damage than the poachers and corporations do.... *gets down off soap box* Any way... Just let me have my gun, and every one is happy!!!"
I don't know how many times I have heard that "'No Guns!' to 'Collect them all'" comment. I hope that encourages people here to take a friend shooting.

Mike P is from Illinois. Mike P. found us on GlockTalk, which I think makes him the first member that I didn't personally recruit. Yeah for the Internet. Mike says, "Surrounded by non-(or anti-)gun liberals and conservatives! I'm also a member of Pink Pistols."
We feel for you man. There is nothing worse than an anti-gun conservative.

#000-00-015 Julian is from Rochester. Julian says, "If gun toting includes long guns, I'm in. I shoot skeet plus some trap and targets."
You are definitely in!

Brian is from Arizona, and is now head of the Southwest Division. He says, "I am a bit of a tree hugger, actually, but the developers are winning the war here in Arizona. As for firearms, I enjoy shooting, but primarily I believe in the right to protect yourself. Where I grew up, in inner city Baltimore, you would have to be a fool to count on the police to protect you. As for what I do - I am a grad student, god help me."

In DC, Police don't come when you call them, and people aren't allowed to have the tools they need to protect themselves. That's why I live OUTSIDE of DC.

Maria is in Kirksville, MO (way up in the northeast corner of the state). She enjoys Cowboy action shooting, hunting, and just plain "plinking". Maria says, "Wow, what an odd duck I must be. I have never voted for a Republican for president, senator, or governor, but am helping do the grassroots thing on CCW [for MO]. Reminds me what an alienated bunch we are. It's hell to be pro-choice, pro-gay and pro-gun!"

I guess were a whole bunch of odd ducks then, because all of that is true about me too.

David T. of the Los Angeles area is a recent convert who now shoots IDPA. David says, "I was a strong gun control advocate until a relative gave me his used Walther PPK/380. Talk about flip-flopping on a political issue fast! (I was almost embarrassed.) Unfortunately, my wife hasn't followed, although I got her into a firearms training class recently. Anyway, I jointed IDPA (no "out of the closet" liberals there) and loved their defensive shooting emphasis. Recently, got a Glock 23 (.40 auto) and may joint GSSF. Incidental, now that I have "come-out", what's next? The gun-toting conservatives yell too loud for me to try to convert them."

What's next? Well, it's good to let the conservatives know that they don't have all the guns, but I doubt you'll turn many of them into Liberals or Moderates. Next, take a friend shooting. Reactive targets are so much fun that people really get hooked (bowling pins are great for this.).

#000-00-020 Rusty lives in Nevada. Rusty is apparently deep undercover, so I'm going to go ahead and make him head of covert operations, Western division. According to his profile, Rusty says, "Hi There." (Like I said, deep undercover.)

Jim lives in Cedar Park, Texas. Jim says, "I've NEVER voted for a Republican..., which is hard to do in a county without a single Democrat in office. I believe the 1st amendment is 1st for a reason (because it's the most important) and the second guarantees the common man will have protection from all tyrants (and criminals), whether foreign or domestic. I am against virtually all forms of gun control except the 6 federal licenses (dealer and collector). I'm a disabled Vet; love to shoot rifles, pistols, and shotguns (and missiles, rockets, heavy machine guns, etc.) I do well against pop-ups and moving targets at any range..."

#000-00-022 Dave lives in Alexandria, VA. and likes IPSC. I wish I could say more, but if I did, Dave might have to kill me.

George lives in Fayetteville, N.C. George says, " I am an officer in the United States Army. So I don't get to hang out with other liberals much. Glad to see I am not alone..."

No way are you alone. There are millions of Gun Toting Liberals out there. Not many Liberals in the Army, you say? Makes you think, don't it.

PinkPisotolsUtah(TM) is our first Corporate membership. They say, "We’re gay and lesbian gun owners in Utah, and members of the state chapter of the national Pink Pistols group for legal, safe and responsible gay and lesbian gun owners and advocates, and our families and friends." They were recently featured in theSalt Lake Tribune Article: Utah Gays Ready for Trouble http://www.sltrib.com/2003/jan/01212003/utah/22192.asp

I am at a loss for words. These guys are awesome, and an inspiration. If they can be out there as gay and lesbian gun owners in Utah... what's stopping the rest of us.

Chris is from San Francisco. Chris is into DCM, and says, "I grew up a liberal and never had exposure to guns. As a kid I was told by people in my church (Unitarian) and my friends that all guns are bad. Then I met a girl from Texas who turned me on to shooting and now I know the truth! I don't really identify with any political party but I still consider myself a liberal, especially regarding the environment. If anyone is interested in Russian or Romanian sharpshooting rifles, you may be interested in my web site."

Ok, I'm interested. Where is your web site?
