This week's winter pichurs frum Nawrth Kerliner and Fajinya

Spayshul note...
Y'all can see how these are mostly just shade tree photographers, but those are the best kind, I say. So... how bout grabbing holt of yore $59 ebay spayshul and shooting some photos up to alt.binaries.appalachian or otherwise. Cher the wealth!

Here are some more pictures what done come from www.wunderground.com. Yew will screem like a stuck pig when you see this batch! And I wood (and remain) glad to give the photographers full credit, but cain't because they generally listed only some made-up name (like Wild Man Steve). Where there wuz captions, I done copied them, too. So let's jest give 'em all a grate big SaaaaLUTE!! Now git out there and take some more snap flash pichurs!

Asheville, EAST VIEW:
We look down on Pack Square, the true center of downtown Asheville. In July, the streets are closed and full of people enjoying Bele Chere, a 3 day street festival of food and music and which has been voted one of the top 20 events in the Southeast. Trendy restaurants and music listening spaces are dotted all over downtown, along with interesting shopping, the Mast General Store, Pack Place Arts and Education Center (Diana Wortham Theatre, Asheville Art Museum, and The Health Adventure), the Fine Arts Theater (terrific renovation of older movie house showing fine films not necessarily shown in the larger commercial theaters), many art galleries, the financial center of Asheville, and an often eclectic mix of people. See the live web cam (if you can wait about 5 minutes for it to load. As Chief Al sez, "Sheesh!"). High Country Web Cams

Asheville, WEST VIEW:
The roads to the west lead you into the Great Smoky Mountains and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park (one of the most visited national parks), lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors... hiking, camping, cabins, mountain music, river rafting, historic train rides, the Cherokee Indian Reservation, the outdoor drama Unto These Hills (summer), and more spectacular vistas on the Blue Ridge Parkway (which ends in Cherokee after starting in Northern Virginia). I-40 travels west across the U.S. from here. See the live web cam (if you can wait about 5 minutes for it to load. As Chief Al sez, "Sheesh!"). High Country Web Cams
