Global Spirituality Project Sites

The Global Spirituality Project has two Complementary aspects. The main site, Global Spirituality, focuses on the continuing traditions of spirituality that guide the human quest for meaning and purpose, for spirit and the divine. Gathering together in one convenient location a host of links to online resources and commentary on offline materials and resources, Global Spirituality provides the reader with an important convergence of crossroads. Spirituality is broad and ancient, with many contemporary developments. Some make themselves known, while others, remain hidden and difficult to access.

The Creative Spirituality site uses the same file structure as the main Global Spirituality site. However, it focuses on the individual journey with all its creative variations and shifting interpretations. Speculations on personal journeys of contemporary, ancient, and even prehistoric spirituality complement the traditional focus of the main site. Mission

The Global Spirituality Project explores, catalogs, reviews, and critically investigates the full range of the developments and practices of human spiritual traditions, consciousness, and experiences of the Sacred. The project provides an essential resource for understanding the collective, personal, and transpersonal dimensions of spirituality from the rise of the human family throughout its evolution to the present day. It dwells on the common ground and explores the qualities upon which humanity builds its appreciation and expression of Spirit and the Sacred.

How do we select listings and other materials for the Global Spirituality Project?

Materials and listings that substantially contribute to understanding aspects of spirituality that are covered by the Global Spirituality Project will be included in appropriate places. This may include any of the following:

  1. Listing a url for the site and Web page for online materials
  2. Providing a link to the site
  3. Providing readers and users with abstracts, critiques, or articles about the online resource.

Users are invited to submit materials for publications. We depend on our users to provide contrasting perspectives from their own perspectives. This brings to all a broader vision of the rich tapestry of spiritual experience.

The GSP will also review and provide abstracts, critiques, and articles on offline resources

.

Online resources may receive a link that users may use to connect with the information when the GSP staff confirms the quality, usefulness, and durability of the resource. For instance, Web pages that will last only a short period will not normally receive any permanent links at GSP sites.

Any site that qualifies for inclusion in the Global Spirituality Project may also elect to form a partnership with the GSP by becoming a sponsor. Timely maintenance of links and information at GSP sites requires reqular attention by our staff. As responsible members of the global online community, or netizens, funding helps us to provide quality content that is useful and current for our diverse audience and supporters.
