TRI COLOURS |
The latest to join my Evergrowing Army of the Furry Kind. They're extrememly unpredictable. They're surprisingly frustrating. They're the hardest and most herartbreaking of all breeds. They're... |
Unfortunately the chances of breeding a piggy that fits the standard is 1 in 100. To get into Tri Colours/ Tortoishell & Whites, the first thing (and hardest) is to find some suitable stock without brindling (different coloured hairs mixing in together). |
This is Heif, she recently had a dead litter of 2, dutch marked. I'll be retiring her now... She's now a pet! Mother of Rexy. |
Above Right: Rexy, pregnant with her last litter. She does have good type for a Torty! Left: Cookie, crested Black, Gold and White. |
Right: Rexy's daughter, Flashdance. Left: Jemimah, another from the Petshop. Below Left: Possum, son of Gwenny and Rexy. |
These are the "wild" ones, two Rainbows. The older one is the boar (Pot ' Gold) and the smaller is the sow (Rainbow Brite). I love the colour combinations! These were caught in someone's backyard after being loose for months. |
Would you like to see my Magpie, Moreton? |
Lollypop was also caught when wild. |
Left: The newest addition, Lesston a chocolate, Gold and White Tri Colour with the patching that is so hard to achieve. He was found in a pet shop in Sydneys north. |
Bea's babies. The half and half face is coming through on some, but solid rumps are appearing. |
