Episode Guide
Following the end of Gundam W in early 1996, there was a demand for more. Following the cancelation of Gundam X and the release of The 08th M.S. Team, the sequel to Gundam W finally arrived in the form of the Endless Waltz OAV series in 1997. This 3 episode OAV series wraps up some of the plot threads left dangling in the series and also provides the back story for the Gundam pilots. In 1998, a movie version was released which combines the 3 episodes together and adds 10 minutes of new animation. In late 2000 the OAV episodes aired on Cartoon Network, and in 2001 Bandai released a special edition DVD containing both the movie and the individual episodes. One thing to note about this series is that the Gundams have been completely re-designed by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki. They are not new Gundams, but they are retroactive changes. Basically, that's the way they are always supposed to have looked. Some designs are improvements, and some are not.
