Comments:

The capacity of wet well existing is all right even it is quite more than the required.

The design capacity of wet well is given by the following formula:

V =Tmin .Q/4

The value of Tmin. is usually greater than 5 minutes, in our design procedure we have taken it 10 minutes.

Total incoming sewage to this disposal station is 0.0367 m3/s but the capacity of pump is 1 cu sec (0.0283 m3/s) so pump is equate but the suction and the delivery pipes are under sized.

Note:

The velocity in the suction pipe ranges from 1-1.5 m/s in the delivery pipe ranges from 2-2.5 m/s. in the design procedure we took 1.25 m/s for suction pipe and 2.25 m/s for delivery pipe.

SEWAGE DISPOSAL STATION #2:

This disposal point is situated near the colony just before the boundary wall of the University. Trunk sewer KK’ designates it as shows in the fig. 5.2

At this point there is no pump used for pumping the sewage. The sewage is being disposed to the near by passing WASA sewer under gravity.

We tabulated the hydraulic calculations for each sewer and saw whether the Sewer are adequate or under sized.
