Skircoat Road garage hosted the body repair shop. Here are two Park Royal Regent III's and a Roe Regal III. Although the Park Royal's were delivered in 1949, they had been built with timber not fully seasoned, a leftover from WWII practices. Consequently they were major maintenance items as the body gradually came apart. I remember them creaking like a sailing ship! Note the absence of safety rails on the "scaffolding".
