OW! What's the terrible pain?! Oh, wait. It's my Amityville cherry being popped (HAHA)! This, this is THE first Amityville movie I've ever seen all the way through to the end, and it wasn't actually that bad! I wouldn't even have gotten it though, but the moron at the video store gave me this instead of WITCHCRAFT, and by the time I realized the mistake I was back in the Underworld, so I didn't really feel like taking it back. Anyway, some modern day Brady Bunch moves into a new house, where an evil dollhouse sleeps in the garage. Daddy stumbles upon the house one day, and gives it to his daughter as a birthday present, then she gets sick soon afterwards. Turns out it's some kind of voodoo house that the family's house is linked to, and the dollhouse is in turn linked to the little girl... a little confusing, but worth it in the end. The wiener kid's dad (a dead GI Joe) seeminly lives in the closet, and tries to persuade the little poop to kill his new stepdad. Unfortunately, the nerd over powers GI Zombie's influence, and we also find out that the house's fireplace used to belong to the old Amityville house. Uhm, the older son has his girlfriend over one night, and while they're makin out, an evil, undead wasp flies into her ear (I had a ladybug in my ear once...), then she later "spontaneously" combusts. For some reason, this house has a real mad-on for that chick! Oh, and also, it turns out that mommy has the hots for her stepson (the older kid) too... could it be that the dollhouse lives off emotions from everyone, and not just from the little girl? But, soon the evil of the dollhouse is discovered by Aunt "Medicine" Woman and Uncle Biker Thug (who both study black magic), and the thing is burnt, resulting in the actual house exploding... All around, the makeup FX were pretty cool and the acting was mostly well done, but the story behind the dollhouse and it's demonic connection to the actual house was never explained! I'd complain further, but I'm already too confused! Think I'll go watch THE HILLS HAVE EYES... "goodbye everybody!"
Sequels: So far, this is the last in the AMITYVILLE series.
