We open with a medieval exorcism or something, in which we learn what happens if you put medication in direct sunlight. Serves no purpose? Oh ye of little fate and smaller cerebral cortex! Fast forward to the present, in which a VERY funny (and VERY bitchy) old woman is given a vial of supposedly mystic liquid! But, the vial is placed in direct sunlight (surprise, surprise) and the old woman is turned into a bad ass "Granny". The dysfunction in "Granny"'s family is so thick you could cut it with a chainsaw! So, "Granny" kills the whole lot of them in variously disturbing ways! But, Kelly ("Granny"'s favorite relative) kicks "Granny"'s ass, exposes her zombie family to sunlight (incinerating them), and saves her little sister Amy from being corpsed-up. Not bad for a day's work, but I think that Kelly AND Amy are possessed or something! The computer generated FX were disgraceful, being barely superior to those found in a "Goosebumps" episode, but the makeup and gore FX were MUCH better! Finally, words to live by: "the true definition of beauty is having a healthy bowel movement once-a-day". By the gods that was beautiful!
