the Howling

(1981)

Fuck Lon Jr., this is the greatest werewolf flick in history! Of the few that I've seen, this one takes the cake, as well as the pie, brownies, donut, and 3 Bear Claws! What a gluttonistic jerk! Get this movie and you'll witness the story of Jill the news reporter and her rape at the hands of a city dwellin' lycanthrope. She becomes a basket case soon after, so she and her "male acquaintance" (friggin' P.C.) go on a weekend retreat with Jill's headshrinker's group of weirdoes and wankers. Soon, her "friend" is attacked by a werewolf and becomes one himself. He runs off one night and fucks the leather clad nympho of the group (every good group has one) and he falls under her influence. Soon Jill and her only remaining friend stumble upon the Doc's secret plot. "What secret plot?" you say?! Why the secret plot to integrate his werewolf society peacefully into our human society, of course! As with all secret societies though, it goes up in a blaze of fire and silver bullets. Oh well, at least the nympho survives to set up the next 6 or 7 sequels. On one final note, I've been reviewing movies since the dawn of time, so the surprise at the end wasn't, but maybe you will be shocked. Get this movie swiftly grass-grazer!

Sequels: HOWLING II: YOUR SISTER IS A WEREWOLF, HOWLING III: THE MARSUPIALS, HOWLING IV: THE ORIGINAL NIGHTMARE, HOWLING V: THE REBIRTH, HOWLING VI: THE FREAKS, THE HOWLING: NEW MOON RISING
