From Mr. Tobe Hooper, the guy who blessed us with THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, TCM2, and EATEN ALIVE, comes this piece of sub-mediocrity CRAP! Okay, the whole mistake starts way back in 1950' Nevada, where 2 teenagers subjected to nuclear H-Bomb tests fall in love and get married. But, on the magical day of their child's birth (and the 10th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing) the happy couple bursts into flames soon after junior pops out! Sounds cool right? Yeah, that's what the Jews thought when Pharaoh promised to take care of em... Well, we fast forward to the "Present Day" (the 90's I guess), where the nuclear rug rat is now all grown up and employed as a teacher at some school... I guess... Sam (the guy), is living his life as normal, having headaches and health problems, when suddenly the people around him become victims of SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION! Okay, so it's not exactly spontaneous because it's as a result of touching Sam and pissing him off. Then again PEOPLE BURNING BECAUSE THEY MAKE THIS SAM GUY ANGRY is a less appealing story, so we'll just leave it at "SPONTANEOUS" COMBUSTION. Oh, and if you think that being Sam would be cool, don't be so premature. Every time Sam gets pissed, jets of flame burst out of his body... must make "flogging the dolphin" a very interesting experience... Uhm, it turns out that Sam is the result of some typical military "living weapon" project, along with his girlfriend Lisa. Later, Sam has some kind of meltdown, relieves Lisa of HER combustion abilities/disease, and the movie ends... thank the Gods! Well, despite ALOT of flaming bodies, this movie left me feeling disappointed and confused! Okay Hooper... one more botch like this, and I don't care if you did give us TCM, I'm gonna end your existence anyway! Remember, you've been warned...
