Anna's week in chains
It was on monday afternoon  when the two cops came to Anna's house . She was just sitting at her piano in her black dress playing some preludes from Chopin . She was immediately handcuffed and told that she should consider herself under arrest and would be taken immediately to court to be judged . She was led to the police car and one of the officers told her she was lucky to be arrested on a monday,  if they had come on saturday she would have spend the whole weekend in a cell at the police station . She appeared before the judge and only then she was told of what she was accused . " There were complaints from the neighbours ", the judge declared , " I think you should know that the State of Texas has some very strong laws concerning ecology , and loud noise is one of the many nuisances we try to diminish . Therefore loud piano playing is forbidden by law and trespasser have to face imprisonment of at least one week in the county jail."
"Nevertheless, as this is your first offence, I would consider sparing you the stay in prison and sentencing you to detainment at home under surveillance . During the day you may move freely in your house without leaving it . You will be handcuffed and chained , and surveillance cameras will be installed in your home to make sure all the legal injunctions are respected . If you accept my judgement , we may proceed immediately and transfer you  to your home !"
Anna was only too happy that she would not to have to  stay in jail for one whole week, that she accepted gratefully .  She was driven home , still handcuffed ( they had not even bothered to take her handcuffs off when she appeared before the judge) . When they came to the house , two technicians were already finishing to install a surveillance system, another one was working in her bedroom fixing an iron ring to the wall near the bed.
The sheriff who had driven her back from the courtroom considered her long dress : "I think you should put on something more convenient  before I chain you up " As soon as the man in the bedroom had finished his work , the sheriff removed her handcuffs and she was allowed to go to the bedroom and change her dress . She choose a purple  top and  black slacks .
The sheriff opened a canvas bag he  had  taken out of the car and under the clanking sound of heavy chains took out  a pair of handcuffs , heavy legirons , some padlocks and a black leather collar.
He first cuffed Anna's hand in front , closed the legirons around her ankles and encircled her neck with the collar , then with the use of some padlocks and a a heavy chain he connected the collar, the handcuffs and the legirons .
"There, you are all set up ! You may now move freely around , but don't try to open the cuffs or leave the house . You may invite your friends to your home , but don't forget that the house is under surveillance ! I'm leaving now , but I will be back late in the evening , there is a special procedure whe have to apply for the night ."
 
When he had left , Anna tried out what liberty had been left for her . 
The handcuffs had been doublelocked and were not too tight , the legirons allowed her to take only very small steps , it's not so bad after all,  she thought , the only difficulty was not to get entangled in the chain, which was quite heavy and put some strain on her collar and the cuffs .

The evening came and the sheriff returned
" I see that you already are going to get used to your chains , they will be your companions for the next week . But now I think it's time to go to bed ! "

He unlocked the cuffs and the collar : " You may now dress for the night ! I suggest you put on some pyjamas ... and don't forget to go to the bathroom ! "

When she came back he cuffed her hands behind the back and went on chaining her up like before . He led her to the bedroom , draw away the sheets and made her lie down , he then produced a long chain with one legiron attached to it . He closed the legiron around her ankle and fastened the other end of the chain to the ring in the wall.

" I hope you will not take advantage of the situation ! " she  said

" No, miss , not that I wouldn't like to, but remember the surveillance cameras , they are also for your own protection . You are quite helpless now, imagine  that some burglar or sex maniac would come to your house this night . You would be an easy prey for him ....

He covered her with the sheets  : " Have a good night, miss ! I didn't tighten the cuffs too much , but still it's not very comfortable . I will be back tomorrow morning !"

Anna was left , all she could do was trying to get get some sleep despite the situation in which she was . Only 6 more days , she thought ...
