The NAACP HIV/AIDS Prevention and Education Project of Idaho is a non profit community based organization (CBO) whose goal is to educate African Americans and other communities of color in Idaho about their Risk for HIV/AIDS.
This Project is funded through a grant from the State of Idaho Health Dept. STD/AIDS division which has a grant from the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
HIV and AIDS is greatest killer of African Americans 18-44 years old. HIV is increasingly being transmitted through Heterosexual contact.
African Americans account for 13% of the total United States Population, yet make up over 49% of the total U.S. AIDS cases.

AIDS IS
         Found in
Women, Children, Straights, Gays/Lesbians/Same Gender Loving and is found in IDAHO.
AIDS is a growing epidemic in our community. It is hard to tell who has the VIRUS. Thousands of Brothers and Sisters already have HIV and don't even know it because the look and feel healthy.
