I'm Patricia and I started my WW journey needing to lose about 25 pounds. Three and a half years ago I married my college sweetheart. I weighed 108 on my wedding day. I looked good and I felt good. After the wedding I maintained my weight for about 6 months. Then I started gaining.
I gained for several reasons. I was comfortable, I was cooking a lot of good food, and then I started working a second job. That second job meant I didn't have time to do my workout tapes any more. I used to run outdoors with a friend of mine and as it was getting dark at 5 by then I didn't even do that any more. So I slowly gained 20 pounds. I wasn't happy with myself, but every attempt to lose weight got me a 2 pound loss and that's it. Then I'd quit and gain the 2 pounds back again.

Finally in September of this year I was so frustrated I walked into my local Curves for Women and stepped on the scale. It read 142! I was amazed. How had I let myself gain over 30 pounds???
So I joined Curves and started working out. But Curves alone wasn't enough for me. I lost a little body fat, but I was still gaining. At 143 I decided to join WW. I've lost 11 pounds so far and I feel great. I want to lose another 8 or 9 pounds. I know I'll never be 110 again, and that's ok. But my goal is to be under 125 and stay there.

So that's my weight loss journey. To tell you a little about me, I work for a box company in the IT Department. I'm a developer, provide the only help desk support for the company, am part time network administrator, and support our wireless inventory. I'm also a freelance writer. I'm actually just beginning my greatest career challenge, I'm writing a book. It will be about Microsoft Outlook and should be released in June. So between now and the middle of March, I'll be working my tail off writing every spare minute I have.

I'm looking forward to this challenge!
