Frederick was editor of the Nathalia Herald 1890 -1915 Later lived a Rutherglen.
He built a large brick house in Nathalia resembling "Burra Murra", which was lit by an acetlylin gas plant.
He was a Justice of the Peace for 26 years.

They had 7 children: all born Nathalia Vic.
