EARWAX RETRO-FANZINE DIRECTORY
NEW JERSEY'S PUNK AND HARDCORE IN THE 80'S
Welcome to Earwax's NJHC Directory and info site. Here you'll find a listing,  of many of the Punk and Hardcore bands that made the NJHC scene (as it were) in the chaotic 1980's. The list has grown quite a bit in the last year or so, mostly due to contributions from band members and friends. Many thanks to all of you (too many to list here). I look forward to updating this site in the future, and I hope it's enjoyable, educational, and inspiring for those of you visiting.

Updated: August, 2006:
Hey - I've been out of touch with this site for a while (slackin' I guess) - but I do have a few new updates to add thanks to contributers like Bruce Wingate, Richard O'Neil, and a few more (thanks!).
Check it out: new bands like
Negative Youth (photos included), The Pleasure Hounds, Good Greifs, Seeds of Terror, and Grinding Teeth.
Also some very cool photos of
Priapism and The East Paterson Boys Choir (thanks Bruce!)
There's also a NJHC discussion group - see the link below.
More coming - I promise. Harry Baggs.

SHRAPNEL - One on New Jersey's first Punk Bands. SHRAPNEL and THE WORST provided the inspiration for other South Jersey bands who had not only become disenchanted with Asbury Park rock & roll, but also it's general quality of life. - Daniel Ray (guitar), Dave. Wyndorfe (vocals), Dave Vogt (guitar), Philip Caivano (bass), D. Clayton (drums).
Guitarist
David Ray went on into production , and has worked with bands like A.O.D., THE RAMONES, SKULLS, and IGGY POP.
Singer
Dave Wyndorff currently sings with MONSTER MAGNET, later joined by Phil Calvano on guitar
Based on a recently received message, bassist Dave Vogt has since passed away.

It's still under construction, but there's enough here to keep you busy for a while. Highly recommended to anyone with interest in the band, the BOR crowd, and NJHC artifacts.
