| * When Dobby is at Privet Drive, he never lets the cake fall on top of Mrs. Mason, it just falls to the floor and makes a loud noise splattering everything * Harry's trunk isn't in his bedroom when he leaves, it should be in the cupboard and he is supposed to go for it when Fred, George and Ron arrive * Uncle Vernon never falls from the window * In the book, when Ron, Fred and George arrive to the Burrow after rescuing Harry, it's night not day * When Harry arrives at "Borgin and Burkes" at Knockturn Alley, the book never mentions Harry touching everything he finds nor a hand grabbing his hand * The movie never shows Harry watching Lucius Malfoy and Mr. Borgin talkiing * In Diagon Alley, Hermione repairs Harry's glasses using a spell in the movie, but how could she? Students are not allowed to do magic in vacations... truly Hermione knew that!! In the book it's actually Mr. Weasley who repairs the glasses * Harry never falls from the Ford Anglia flying over the Hogwarts Express * Ron's wand breaks when the car crashes, not when the Whomping Willow attacks them * Gryffindors are suppposed to take Herbology with Hufflepuff, not Slytherin, in fact, in their first class, Harry and Ron meet Justin Finch-Fletchley * In the movie, Nearly Headless Nick says "hello" to Penelope Clearwater and Percy Weasly but in the book Penelope is mentioned a long way after that * Ginny is never mentioned in Ron's howler * When Ron's spell backfired to him, he had to actually say a spell not only say "eat slugs" * When Ron is vomiting slugs and Harry, Hermione and him go to Hagrid's hut and they tell him about Malfoy calling Hermione a "mudblood", it's Ron who explains what the word means, not Hermione * Professor Binns is the one that explains to the class about the Chamber of Secrets, not Professor McGonagall as it's done in the movie * Harry, Ron and Hermione had to ask for a permission note to Lockhart to get the Moste Potente Potions out of the Restricted Section * The book never mentions Hermione destroying the enchanted bludger with her wand * In the Dueling Club, when Snape disarms Lockhart, Lockhart's wand is supposed to reach Snape's hands, but it simply never sepparates from Lockhart * When Harry hears the basilisk in the pipes, it had to be saying some stuff about "tear, rip..." * The password to enter Dumbledore's office is "lemondrop" not "sherbert lemon" * When Harry is in Dumbledore's office, the Sorting Hat never speaks until he puts it on * No Halloween Feast nor Nearly Headless Nick's deathday party * When Harry, Hermione and Ron drink the Polyjuice potion, they go to separate cubicles before drinking it, but in the movie they just drink it outside the cubicles * Harry had to take his glasses off before going out the bathroom but in the movie he does until Malfoy asks him about that * The conversation between Draco, crabbe and Goyle (which were Harry and Ron in the spell) about "Dumbledore being the worst thing Hogwarts ever had" and which Crabbe and Goyle replied it wasn't Dumbledore but Harry, is never mentioned in the book * In the movie, Ron mentions Hermione's tail, instead of Myrtle * The secret about the disappearing ink of Riddle's diary is discovered by Harry when his bottle of ink falls and splatters all his books (including the diary) but the diary remains clean, but in the movie this never happens * When Riddle shows Harry what happened 50 years ago, a "mini window" appears in the diary, not only a shiny rip as it does in the movie * In the book, Harry appears at Professor Dippet's office and not infront of Riddle and Dumbledore in a corridor * Riddle was supposed to be speaking about closing Hogwarts with Dippet not with Dumbledore * Riddle had to call Hagrid by his name (Rubeus) * When Harry talks about Tom Riddle's diary to Ron, he recognizes that name because he had polished a trophe for Special Services To The School many times, but in the movie Ron never even takes his detention * When Harry and Ron arrive to Hagrid's hut to ask him about the Chamber, they took off the invisibility cloak before Hagrid opened the door * In the book Ron and Harry notice that the spiders went to the Forbidden Forest in Herbology class not in Hagrid's hut * In the Forest, Aragog's "sons" carry Harry, Ron and Fang to where Aragog is, they don't go walking * The car had to move alone, not to be driven by Ron * When was Penelope Clearwater attacked? It never happened in the movie * They never mention the roosters being killed so to any person that isn't familiar with the book, Hagrid simply likes to go around carrying dead roosters to Dumbledore's office LOL * The first time Harry tries to open the Chamber (speaking Parseltongue) he fails * There was supposed to be only one rat skull in the chamber, not a floor filled with rat skeletons! * Slytherin's statue in the Chamber was supposed to be full-body, not only his face * They totally forget about Lockhart's valentines, and Harry receiving a valentine from Ginny, which is when Ginny recovers the diary * Fawkes had to appear from some flames not simply go in flying and it had to do it when Harry was already fighting, not before as in the movie * That tunnel in which Harry and the basilisk go for a while in the movie was nowhere in the book * The sword had to come out when Harry puts on the hat not when he just looks at it * They never explain one important fact: that the roosters were killed because their cry is fatal to the basilisk (they don't explain it because they don't even mention it) * Fawkes had to cry on Harry's arm when Riddle was still there * Fawkes had to carry Harry, Ron, Ginny and Lockhart (in that order, not first Lockhart, then Ron, next Harry and at last Ginny) through the pipe which had taken them down, not through another way that led to the sky * When Harry, Ron, Ginny and Lockhart arrive from the Chamber, they had to enter the Teacher's Room with all the Professors and Mr. and Mrs. Weasly * Dumbledore never gave Harry and Ron their 200 points and the Quidditch and House Cups are simply forgotten * Harry had to give Dobby the diary in a sock, not the sock in the diary * When Dobby pushes Mr. Malfoy, he had to fall down some stairs, not to the floor |
