Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix has finally got a release date.... Saturday June 21 2003!! You will be able to buy it in Britain, USA, Canda and Australia and in English language in many other countries. It's:
* 38 chapters long
* 768 pages
* 255, 000 words
* More than a third longer than GOF!
When you open the book, you will first read:
The hottest day of summer so far was drawing to a close and drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive.
The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four.
They also revealed som of JK Rowling's words from later in the book:
Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed harry through his half-moon glasses.
"It is time," he said, "for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything".
The only copy of this book so far is being held under lock and key at a secret location. And it is still being edited by Emma Matthewson who is one of the only two people lucky enough to have read the stroy so far.
Work on the artwork for the book's cover is also expected to begin very soon.

The card written by JK Rowling including meaningful words from book 5 that was going to be auctioned at Sotheby's in London to Harry Potter fans has been sold to a mystery American bidder by 28,680 pounds!! We know it includes words as:

thirty eight chapters
... might change ... longest volume ... broom ... sacked ... Ron ... house-elf ... new teacher ... sorry ... dies

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will come out on video and DVD on April 11! It will include cool stuff like:
* 19 new and extended scenes
* Interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, JK Rowling ans Steve Kloves
* Magical games that will let you into the Forbidden Forest, the Chamber and Lockhart's classroom

Scholastic is printing 6.8 million copies of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix so shops don't run out so fast! This is one of the biggest first prints in the US!

Potter Fan Snaps Azkaban Film Set!
Allison, a Harry Potter Australian fan, went to London with her mom and decided to visit Leavesden studios and got the chance to see the pre-filming there! She took photographs of the set Magnolia Crescent with the Knight Bus and Dan Radcliffe!

Warner Brothers put an end to the rumours regarding the casting for POA on Friday, February 21st.
Some important parts are:
Gary Oldman as Sirius Black
Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore
David Thewlis as Professor Remus Lupin
Timothy Spall as Peter Pettigrew
There are no news yet of who will play Cho Chang.
The filming starts for real Monday, February 24 with the "principal photography" with the major members of the cast.

POA filming in Scotland has been stopped after a fire broke out near the crew. More than 100 acres of heath land got fire, more than 4 fire crews needed 20 hours to bring the fire under control.

JK Rowling will appear in an episode of "The Simpsons". Homer and his family will travel to London and there they'll find JK, and Lisa will happen to be a great Harry Potter fan. The episode will appear in the late 2003 in US.

Bloomsbudry and Scholastic have finally showed us their book covers!! Bloomsbury, as we all know, made 2: an adult and a kids one, in both of them, there is only a phoenix in the portrait. And in the Scholastic cover, there is Harry in a midnight blue tone, as all his surroundings, and with several doors in front of him. Check here the covers:

JK Rowling gave birth to her baby. Her son was born on Sunday mafternoon but the news came out until Monday night The name of the baby is David Gordon Rowling Murray. Now little 9 year old Jessica has a baby brother.

The word "muggle" is now in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). It's the first time the word has madeit into a major dictionary. This is only the thrid time this dictionary has been upddated in 146 years. This is the definition:
Muggle:  invented by JK (Joanne Kathleen) Rowling (b. 1965), British author of children's fantasy fiction (see quot. 1997).
In the fiction of JK Rowling: aperson who possesses no magical powers. Hence in allusive and extended uses: a person who lacks a particular skill or skills, or who is regarded as inferior in some way.
