At the northern tip of the lower Colorado River are Las Vegas and the Lake Mead area. The land joins the Grand Canyon National Monument on the east to Bullhead City and Laughlin Nevada on the south of the lower Colorado River rich in southwestern nature.

The River hosts a variety of game fish along its entire length. Cold waters produce giant rainbow trout & bass. Rainbow fisheries continue all the way through the Colorado River & Grand Canyon. Striped bass, move upstream during the winter in Lake Havasu.
