| Phi Omicron Psi Fraternity Inc. Zeta Chapter 
was founded on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on
February 28th, 1998 by Elden Wayne Hawkes,Jr. On January 25, 1998, Elden
completed his journey into O Psi and embarked on the mission of starting a new
chapter, the Zeta chapter of Phi Omicron Psi Fraternity, Inc. Upon returning to
school for that ensuing spring semester, Elden completed all the necessary steps
for establishing Phi Omicron Psi Fraternity as a legitimate organization at the
University of Maryland Eastern Shore. On February 28, 1998, Phi Omicron Psi
Fraternity, Inc. Zeta Chapter was official recognized as a campus organization.
Since then the Zeta chapter has inducted many brothers into O Psi, the first of
which was Derrick Davon Milton, Brother Energizer of the line Dean’s List,
Spring 1998. Subsequent lines were as follows: Destructive Currents: Fall 1998
Mission Impossible: Fall 1999, Hot Boyz: Spring 2000, Special Forces: Fall 2000,
Shock Trama: Spring 2001, Time's Pestilence: Summer 2001, and Broken Silence:
Fall 2001.
