COMMITTMENT to EACH OTHER being sensitive to the needs, personalities, talents, and abilities of each other. 3. COMMITTMENT to THE CHURCH which encompasses the Denomination, the Local Body of Believers, and more Universally, the Whole Body of Christ. God's pattern is that the Universal church be manifested in the Local Church (Rom. 16:16; Acts 2:41-47) 4. COMMITTMENT to PRACTICAL LIVING as stated by the Church of God in the following: Spiritual Example, Moral Purity, Personal Integrity, Family Responsibility, Behavioral Temperance, Modest Appearance, and Social Obligation. WITHIN THESE "COMMITMENTS" LIES THE RESPONSIBILITY TO: GO, REACH, TEACH, AND MAKE DISCIPLES WHY WE WORSHIP LIKE WE DO..? Why we worship in the forms of celebration and expression? Maybe these questions and answers will help answer that question. WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS? "O CLAP your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph"(Psalm 47:1) WHY DO WE STAND AND SING? "And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathitites, and of the children of the korhites, STOOD UP to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud VOICE on high"(2 Chron. 20:19) WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS? "Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will LIFT UP my hands in thy name." (Psalm 63:4) WHY DO WE SIMULTANEOUSLY PRAISE GOD? "And after these things I heart a great voice of much people in heaven saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God: And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of many thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth" (Rev. 19:1, 6) WHY DO WE SPEAK IN TONGUES? "Wherefore , brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak in tongues" (1 Cor. 14;39) WHY DO WE USE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS IN OUR SERVICES? "And I heard a voice from Heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps" (Rev. 14:2) WHY DO WE PRAY IN UNISION? "And when they heard that, they lifted their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made Heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them" (Acts 4:24) THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER SCRIPTURES WHICH SUPPORT CELEBRATION AND EXPRESSI0N AS FORMS OF WORSHIP.
