Neat pages. My husband and I are exotic bird breeders with over 75 birds we care for. Most of our birds range from the lories and lorikeets to the large Moluccan cockatoos, interspersed with amazons, greys, jardine parrots and emus. Emus? We also founded a bird society here in the eastern area of NC. It has really spread all over the states now and we have a membership of over 160.

Hi Sandy & Michael, Thanks for visiting me nd signing my guestbook....Hmmmm I'm surprised the java didn,t work, but I have been neglegting my homepage lately having been busy with my kids (4) and also some other real time stuff...*smile* Anyhow, just wanted to compliment you on a beautiful homepage, and you might appreciate this parrot story. Here in quebec they have language laws where you have to use french and it is a big problem here they say french on signs have to be twice as big as English, and places of work have to conduct their business in French...well the story is there have been a complaint about a pet story because the parrot only spoke English and not French....Quite ridiculous ....*LOL* We are all trying to figure out how the goverment here are going to regulate how french breasts have to be twice as big as English ones....*giggle*...It is actually so pathetic it ends up being very funny, although it is a serious problem here....Ooooops. ..getting carried away....Once again...Congratulations on a well done homepage. I just happened to fall into your web page. I saw you had Parrots and just had to stay and surf your page and links. My husband and I were in the bird raising of canaries for show a few years ago. Had to give it up when he got sick. I am always looking for Bird web sites. You have a fantastick site and I am passing your link on to friends of mie. Yes you are right people that do not know parrots do not realize the things that they can do and say. We still have our pets. 1 Yellow Nape (hand fed), 2 African Congo Greys (hand fed), 3 Red Loreds (2 hand fed), last but not least 2 Cockatiels ( that we saved from being miss treated) All except the cockatiels talk and are tame. I am the owner of 9 birds ranging from the small lovebird to a Scarlet Macaw. Last week my sweet little blue front Amazon died suddenly. She was rescued from an abusive home and had learned to trust and love people again. I had Emily for just over one ear and I loved her as much as she loved me. Apparently, her abusive early life and weakened immune system could not be over come and now she is gone. She talked and sang and played all day long. She got along beautifully with my other birds and she wa an important part of our family and a big part of my life. I miss her.

I loved your page and all of your pet stories. I only have pet stories from when I was a kid, as we don't have any pets right now. It sure must be interesting living with all those birds! I've often thought it would be fun to have a parrot who could talk. I probably have a better chance of getting a dog! Enjoyed my visit. You have done a great job.
