The following are a few photos taken in Lexington, Kentucky between July 23rd and July 27th.
LEFT: Bold Reflection (Bold and Gold x Gold Sooner), the Police Horse. Bold was the 1997 Breyerfest model (a palomino Stud Spider). He and his owner & partner, Sergeant Darlene Geiser, gave a demonstration in the covered arena of the training techniques used with police horses. Bold was 1995 Police Horse of the Year. He is a 1981 palomino Quarter Horse gelding who resides in Florida.
RIGHT: Toby, the Vaulting Horse. Toby is a 16 hand pinto
1/2 Percheron 1/4 Belgian 1/4 Quarter Horse. Toby competes with the Woodside Vaulters Extension Team as
National "A" Team Champions. Members from the group gave a demonstration with Toby at Breyerfest and have
been featured in "Just About Horses" (May/June 1997).
LEFT: This red roan model by Lisa Rivera was the centerpiece
of the Western Performance package in the NAMHSA auction. His color is absolutely beautiful- you can actually
see individual "hairs" on the model. Included in the package were 3 heifers, a team pen, ground poles, pole bending
poles, cones, a racing barrel, a flag, a complete western tack set, a pack saddle by Cari Zisk, a
Deb Messner saddle pad, a dressed Brenda doll, and much more. Among the contributing artists (besides those mentioned
above) were: Carol Herden, Rick Ferris, Juanita Snyder, Debra Whitmore, Julie Wilkowski, Traci Durrel-Khalife, Susan Taylor,
and Wilshire Miniatures. All of these people donated 100% to NAMHSA. The package sold for $1,350.
RIGHT: This repainted (by Ann Harris, model donated by Kate Cabot) Black
Horse Ranch resin was the main feature of the English performance package. Included in the package was: a pleasure harness
(Kathy Bateman), a Huntseat saddle/bridle (Sue Rowe), 2 jumps (Polly Fields), dressage rail (Wilshire Miniatures), and a medieval
costume by Tiffany Corwell-Herrlein. All was donated at 100%.
