These links are just a few of the many sites designed for educating parents on safety issues their children face on the Internet and in everyday life.

  • Child Lures-"Here, you will find invaluable information on keeping children safe from sexual abuse and abduction."

  • Child Safety on the Information Superhighway-Provided by The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Interactive Services Association, this site is a quick one page guideline and an agreement for your children to sign for online safety.

  • The Children's Partnership-Includes "The Parent's Guide to the Information Superhighway" and "America's Children and the Information Superhighway".

  • Cyber Angels-"CyberAngels' primary goal is to educate new and inexperienced users in all aspects of Internet safety awareness. We have a special focus on educating children."

  • Department of Justice Kids and Youth Page-Safety tips are just one of the interesting subjects for children and parents presented on this site and linked to the FBI pages. The pages are categorized for children by ages, parents and teachers.

  • Enough is Enough-"Lighting the way to protect children and families from the dangers of illegal Pornography and On-Line Predators."

  • FamilyPC on the Web-An informative site for families which includes every aspect of computer usage. Reviews of software, hardware, safety on the Internet, opinions and views.

  • InterGO-Comprehensive site "dedicated to making the Internet a safe and productive resource for users of all ages." Contains Protecting Kids on the Internet section, Safe Search, the InterGO free library and the Virtual Village.

  • National Center for Missing and Exploited Children-"As the nation's resource center for child protection, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) spearheads national efforts to locate and recover missing children and raises public awareness about ways to prevent child abduction, molestation, and sexual exploitation. A private, nonprofit organization established in 1984, NCMEC operates under a Congressional mandate and works in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention."

  • Parents Guide to the Internet-Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Educational Research and Improvement and the Office of Educational Technology.

  • The Police Notebook-Comprehensive safety site including personal, Internet, fire, and kids safety tips, first aid and drug and alcohol information. Informative for both parents and children.

  • S.O.C.U.M. Safeguarding Our Children - United Mothers-"A non-profit organization dedicated to public awareness, prevention of child abuse, and a resource to those who have been wounded by childhood abuse."

  • U.S. Department of Education"s Parents Guide to the Internet-A comprehensive site designed for parents in all aspects of Internet safety.

  • Web Wise Kids-An internet safety resource center for parents and children alike, through awareness, education and links to kid safe sites and parenting resources.
