Powhatan 'Bud' Henry CARLISLE (1835 Ga - 1913 TX) md #1 1852 Jackson Co., Ga to Nancy SOUTHARD (ca 1834 Ga - 1862 Ga)

It is unknown where Nancy was buried. 'Bud' was buried Stephens Co., TX. with his second wife Irena

Resided in Jackson Co., Ga. moving to Sand Mountain, AL ca 1887. Rev. P.H. Carlyle conducted the first service helt at Union Grove Missionary Baptist, Rainsville, AL on 1 June 1895. His son John Edward did move to area for a couple of years, before re-turning to Jackson Co., Ga. where they remained. Some of the family stayed in Rainsville & some moved to Erath Co., TX ca 1902, then to Stephens Co., TX ca 1904 where Powhatan died - rest of family moved back to Erath Co., TX in 1920's.
