Thomas Lowrey {Rev Sol} was born ca 1755 Maryland or possibly Frederick Co., VA.(?). He died 17 December 1835 Lincoln Co., N.C.

Thomas married 3 December 1786 Rowan Co., N.C. to Sarah Richardson. She was born 24 February 1763 'The Jerseys' {New Jersey?}. Sarah died 31 August 1852 Gilmer Co., GA and was buried Antioch Baptist Church cem., Gilmer (present Pickens) Co., GA..

Sarah was a child when her father removed to Chatham Co., NC from whence she & her father removed to Rowan Co., NC, where she married Thomas, having known him four or five years before they married.

Thomas, Sarah & their family moved from Rowan Co., NC to York District, SC & lived there until March (1799), then moved to Rutherford Co., NC & lived one year, then they moved to Lincoln Co., NC where they many years. (probably part that became Cleveland Co in 1841). Sarah moved with her dau & son-in-law to Gilmer Co., Ga. in 1845.
