Here's
Donald
- I first met Donald in August 1983. We
attended the same college, and had the same advisor! Let me tell you, it wasn't love
at first sight, but we soon became friends. Donald isn't too proud of it, but he
dated my college room-mate before he dated me! I'm glad he (and I!) finally came to
his senses and dated me instead! We've been together since about September 1983, and
were married on December 12, 1987. All these years, and we still haven't killed each
other!
 Our lives and
relationship haven't always been easy, but we've managed to make it through without
giving up. We support each other and respect each other, and those are key elements
to any relationship! Hey, we even LIKE each other! I think liking someone is a
lot harder than loving them.
Like me, Donald has a degree in biology.
He is employed as a Laboratory Safety Officer at a local university ecology lab.
To relieve the stress of work, Donald enjoys gardening, and our yard is proof of
his efforts! He is currently interested in old-timey rose bushes and has collected
quite a few beauties. He's put in a split rail fence along the front of our yard,
and it has a beautiful old pink rose rambling along it. We also have a small water
garden thanks to Donald! Right now, he is building a wood panel privacy fence on one
side of our yard with plans for more flower beds filled with day lillies, iris, and roses!
When the weather isn't nice enough for outdoor gardening, Donald drools over
gardening catalogs and web pages! He even has his own web page. It features
pictures of some of the flowers he has grown. Donald was interviewed by our local
newspaper for a feature article on Gardening on the Web. More honors Donald has won are a
first place award for an iris he placed in the American Iris Society show in South
Carolina, a best of show award for that flower, and a bronze medal for an educational
poster exhibit he created on iris. Donald is very interested in starting a web page
design business, and has begun to design a few commercial pages. If you need a web

- One of the most wonderful blessings of
marriage, in my opinion, is children. Donald and I have one child who is the center
of our universe. Her name is Emily, and she is 5 years old. Click on to the
