OLYMPIA

DELPHI

The Throne of the Champions was reserved for the winner of the Delphic games, similar to the Olympic games but held in the town of Delphi. That's me below left, proud to be sitting on the winner's throne.

Above right are the ruins of the temple dedicated to Athena, where ancient Greeks went to the Oracle of Delphi to offer sacrifices so they could ask questions of the gods.
