Clan MacLachlan is of ancient origin, records regarding its leaders date back to 1230, it is belived to be the MacLachlans of Strath Lachlan.
My Canadian ancestor of the clan was Hugh MacLachlan who was born in Kilmartin Parish, Argyllshire in 1782. His wife Catherine MacCallum was born in the same parish in 1787. They were married in 1807 and blessed with fourteen children, nine of whom sailed with them from Glasgow,Scotland in June 1830. After a very tiring six-week voyage they reached Quebec. But their destination was Upper Canada as Ontario was then called. Eventually they reached New Glasgow. From there they trudged to their new home on Lot 1 Concession 8, Mosa Township, Middlesex County reaching it on November 12, 1830. Their youngest child Alexander was born the following month.

We have very little information on the Wright Family. There is a James Wright buried in Washington Cem. Carsonville Mi. next to John and Agnes (Wright) McCallum.
All we have on Agnes (Wright) McCallum is the birth year 1875 and death year 1945. James Wright birth year 1847 and death year 1922. James Wright is her father and her mother is Agnes Chesney, Agnes (Wright) McCallum was born in Ontario, Canada.
On the Button Family we don't have much either. Winifred (Button) McCallom's father was William Charles Button and her mother was Alice Johnson they were from Canada, we believe the Sarnia area. She had a Uncle Bill Johnson that lived there with his wife Helen. They had a son Bill Jr.
