Become a Friend of Jedi!

Jedi is pleased to share pictures of his feline friends with you. He hopes you enjoy them! To become a Friend of Jedi, just send us a picture of your cat(s); the picture will remain your copyrighted material. Along with the picture of your cat(s), please tell us their names and anything else you would like us to place with the photo, like your name. Although so far we've gotten mostly pictures of other Chartreux, all cats are welcome! Jedi and Pippa get along with all other cats pretty much the same.

The E-mail address for Jedi's folks is rbkegley@pobox.com. If you don't have a scanner, E-mail us anyway and we can probably arrange to scan a picture that you send through regular mail.

Pepper My name is Pepper. I am 1 & 1/2 years old. I am a very independent cat but I love my owners and always lay down somewhere in the same room as they are. They are a couple with 2 boys (8 and 4 years old). The boys are very gentle with me and I even allow the 8-year old to carry me in his arms ! When the alarm goes off in the morning, I gently meow to make sure everybody gets up and I ask for my daily cup of milk. Am I handsome or what? (Submitted by Isabelle Schetley, 5/2001)
This is Sambuca (a/k/a Buca). She was born on March 2, 2001. She is a Chartreux from Janvier Cattery (Mary Ann Sweeters) in Shreveport, LA. She sleeps wherever she wants (she has a hammock, a window perch, a 4 story cat tree, a heart shaped wicker basket decorated with lace, bows and a crocheted blanket made by her new mommy) and more toys than most children. She is brand new and is enjoying the opportunity to explore her new home. (Submitted by Jennifer jenpepp@aol.com, 5/2001) Sambuca
Wolfie Hello, My name is Wolfie. I'm 5 years old and I live in Lubbock Texas. I know my parents love me a lot, especially my mom. I also have 2 older human brothers, 16 and 11, the younger keeps me going. Here you see me napping, a hobby I enjoy tremdously. Though I know I could stand to lose a little weight, I think I'll work on that after my nap!!! (Submitted by Maria Morales, 7/2001)
Katt belonged to a former boyfriend's grandparents, waaay back in 1989. When that didn't work out, he moved in with the boyfriend, then with me. He's been great company for all these years.

Bobo belonged to my deceased great-aunt until her death last year. He's a sweet, oversized lap cat. He lives for belly rubs and enjoys a good brushing (especially this time of year.) Bobo also "shoulder surfs" and seemed to enjoy the pictures of Jedi. I think he may just be relieved that he's not the largest cat there is. (Submitted by Michelle Motter, 5/2001)

Jessie & Magus Jessie, in the background, is a 7 year old retired queen and Magus, in the foreground, is a 5 year old spayed female. Both came from Bleujeanne Cattery in MD 5 years ago, and they are the lights of my life. (Submitted by Kathryn, 7/2001)
Hi! I recently visited your Jedi's page and i love it! Please I want that you put my cats pics on Jedi's friends! My name is Eliana and I'm from Argentina. I have 3 cats:

Serena (top photo) is 6 years old and we rescued her from the street when she was 7 or 8 months old. She loves dogs, but doesn't like other cats so much.

Tomoya (middle) is 2 years old and my dad found him in a tree when he was 1 month old.

Sora (bottom) is 9 months old and we adopted her from a shelter when she was less than a month! She missed her left back leg, but is ok now!

My name is Bubbadoo (see picture below) and I live in New Hampshire. I am named after my mother who is from Louisiana. I love my Northern home. As you can see, relaxing is my number one activity. I am very sweet and a gentlemen most of the time... (Submitted by Judy, 12/2003)

Andy & Chauncey Andy (left) and Chauncy (right) love to take naps together. Sometimes Chauncy can be a big bully since he outweighs Andy by more than 9 lbs. (He's a big boy!) but they love each other. (Submitted by Sarah, 3/2004)
Hello, my name is Varvara Lazareva, but my folks and my friends call me Basia. I live in Kyiv, Ukraine. I have a very interesting story and I am very smart. Also, I love to be photographed! (Submitted 7/2004) Basia
Jesse I am Jesse. I was adopted from a shelter by my mom. My original family gave me up because they said I talked too much. I am quite the talker, but so is my mom, so we get along fine. I live in Atlanta, GA and love to kill string ... (Submitted by Ayn McLaurin, 7/2004)
Hi….my name is "Mazel Tov"; it means good luck. I am a big boned girl; 14 lbs. I am 6 years old; kind of shy but very sweet. I have a purr that sounds like a chainsaw, and a meow that is barely audible... Eating is my favorite hobby, as you may have guessed. (Submitted by Louise Sande Kaplan, 8/2004) Mozzie
Cloud This is Cloud, a 1 year-old male who now lives in Hallandale, Florida, and is just a joy. (Submitted by Charlie Miller, 8/2004)
This is a picture of Verser, a domestic blue cat whom we've had since 1989. She's 16 years old! Here she's stretching after a nap on her favorite chair, on which she'll spend as much as 15 hours a day. She's skinnier than many of her brethren, but she's cute and squeaky and still scampering despite her advanced age! (Submitted by Martha Benco, San Jose, CA, 10/2004) Verser
