August 25, 1999

Hi all!  I have been so busy these last couple weeks! Our  oldest son goes back to school in a couple days, and as much as I will miss him, I know that my life will get about 10 times less hectic!  (And unfortunately, my sweet husbands life will get about 10 times MORE hectic!) 

I haven't put in a journal entry for the last 2 weeks, so to give you a quick update, the first week ( Aug 11) I had no loss, no gain.  The second week (Aug 18) I had my first gain 3/4 pound.  What a major bummer that one was! I guess it was time for a reality check any way!  6 months with out a gain was really stellar, but I suppose I couldn't have done it forever! I really buckled down that week, and realized how lax I had gotten with what I was considering to be "on program".  I had a loss of 2.75 pounds which pushed me over 50 pounds lost and got me past the half way point! My mini goal is set for labor day and I am only 3/4's pound away.  I am hoping to make it - this is my last week to make it there!  I am trying to decide on my next goal - I will probably set it for around Halloween I would LOVE to see myself at 160 by then. That might be pushing it, I haven't officially set the next goal yet, we'll see!

August 5, 1999

Well - I can't believe that another week has already passed! I did okay with my weigh in, I lost 1 1/2 pounds which is pretty good (I think) I am only 3/4 pounds away from the 50 pound mark - hopefully next week!  As I am writing this it is actually Saturday (I weigh on Thursdays)  I had my 10 year highschool reunion last night, and I had a great time.  I did go way over in weight watcher points. It is so hard to count things you dont make - but I figure I went over by probably 12 - 15 points. (For those of you who aren't doing WW, that is around 600 - 750 calories!) I did better today - ate my max and that is all.  I also went jogging for the first time! I usually walk (when I go)  but this time I 'half jogged".  I walked half a block and then jogged half a block. The route usually takes me 45 - 5o minutes when I walk it, but I did it in 30 minutes!  I feel great - and I hope to do it again each morning this week - children permitting! (Only instead of really going anywhere, I just have to go around the block!) Have a great week one and all, and I will surely be checking in next week! Until then  -- Drink that water!!!
