Well, another week done and gone! I was supposed to weigh in yesterday, but as luck would have it, my transmission died the night before at midnight! Soo, my mom took my today and boy was I surprised! Last week I said I was going to be so good, exercise 5 times, etc. Well, I exercised 2 times. I still did the "extra" things, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walking to school instead of driving. All in all I lost 2 and 1/4 pounds! I really did not expect a loss this time. I did stay in my points range, but I ate the max 4 out of 7 days! I am going to try a little harder to really stay on track this next week and get in that exercise. So, I'll be back next week!! |

Well, it was a long week and I made it! I lost 2 and 3/4 pounds! I must admit I was really surprised! I was prepared to see little to no loss. I am not sure why that is, just wasn't expecting it. It feels really good to know that I have lost 15 and 3/4 pounds all together, my jeans are getting really baggy and it is the best feeling ever!
This week I was better about making sure to drink at the very minimum, 6 glasses of water a day. I wasn't particularly great about exercising every single day. I exercised about 3 or 4 days. However, I have been very good about parking the car further out, and taking the stairs instead of the elevator. It feels really good to go up several flights of stairs without feeling like I might die if I have to go up one more, or stopping to rest!
My neighbor has given me some clothes that she can no longer wear. (She also is shrinking!) I would have never fit in them a month ago. They are size 18-20, and I have been squeezing into a 22. Well, guess what?? They fit! Two of the outfits will look very nice on me in about 5 more pounds, which is great, because they are warmer weather outfits, and the warmer weather hasn't hit the Washington Coast yet!!
My goals for next week are to of course continue losing, and I have decided that even if it is only 1/4 of a pound, that is good. I just want to be heading in the right direction. I want to try several new recipes, I ordered a new cook book - "Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook" and I hope to get it soon. I also will do what I can to exercise 5 times before I weigh in next thursday!

I weighed in this morning at my weight watchers meeting and found that this week I have lost 1/4 pound. I have pretty mixed feelings about it. On one hand I felt great, I have lost 5 pounds since joining (for a total of 13) and got my 5 pound bookmark. On the other hand, last week I lost 4 3/4 pounds, so it seemed like not to much. I have decided not to feel bad, it is a loss, and that is great. I reevaluated how I did last week and found several areas that I could certainly work on to help myself lose a little more quickly. I didn't drink enough water about half of the days. I didn't do as much "organized exercise" as I should have, so I am going to increase that. I also am going to be more conscious of making sure I get all 5 servings of fruits and veggies each day as well as at least 2 servings of dairy. The final thing I am going to change this week is to cut back on the sweets. I had fit them into the plan and stayed inside my points range each day - however I am going to cut that back to 2-3 a week. I hope that next week I will be able to see the results of these changes when I weigh in. I am pretty happy with my progress in general, the weight watchers 123 is the easiest plan ever, I really love it! |
