Meet Me

EQ1: 1998 Chevy Lumina; one of two patrol

If you've never met me, well this is the place to be.

Again, my name is Jon. I am Patrolman for the Town of Ludlow, Vermont Police Department. I am also a Part-time Patrolman for the Town of Windsor, Vermont Police Department.

Just a bit of knowledge on the town I live in. Ludlow is a town with approximately 3500 year round residents. Ludlow is home of Okemo Mountain Ski Resort, which brings approximately 25,000 to 30,000 skiers here in a given weekend, or vacation week.

The Police department has five full-time police officers, 4 full-time dispatchers, 4 part-time "special" police officers, and 4 part-time dispatchers. We operate 24 hours a day.

We run with two patrol vehicles at this moment, with a third possibly scheduled in for next year. Right at the moment we have a 1998 Chevy Lumina, with assorted equipment, like: 10 strobe whelen light bar, with center piercer strobes; radar unit; mobile vision video camera's; rear-deck flasher unit; hide-away strobes in the headlights; and last, a cage for the special.
Our second vehicle, the 1999 Chevy Blazer. In this vehicle we have the mobile vision camera's; radar unit; six strobe whelen light bar, with traffic advisor panel in back, two grill strobes, and tail-light flashers. The Lumina is about to get replaced in five to six weeks by the new, and popular Chevy Impala. Can't wait for that too get in.

Anyhow, back to me, cause I'm greedy like that. I am a 20 year old, born and raised here in Ludlow. I am currently active in other activities like: Volunteer Fire Fighter, and Volunteer Ambulance Attendant.  I also dispatch part-time here in Ludlow.

Some of my hobbies, or past times are skiing, Mountain Biking, softball, chatting on the internet and just plain old hanging out, when I get the time.

Other than that, not much to say right now.
