Edited and annotated by Bouvier expert Herm David, the first edition of this book was published in 1974 under the title The Complete Bouvier des Flandres. In addition to the extensive text authored by Claire McLean, it included chapters contributed by the top American and European authorities on the breed.

For this second edition, all of the original text that was still relevant was retained, and much was added - including updated text material, some one hundred-seventy new photographs of the Bouviers from today's top kennels and breeders, and pedigrees of all Group first, Best in Show, and Specialty winning Bouviers.

The only comprehensive book in the English language dealing exclusively with the Bouvier, this edition has been increased in length by ninety-six pages. Including all that is pertinent to the breed today, it may be categorized as a compendium of Bouvier facts, statistical data, and illustrations.

Combining the distillations of the wisdom of the past and the expertise of the present, this is a magnificent volume on a magnificent breed!
