Sept. 23, 1999--The Christian Index in a full page article reports that Lois Chauncey Thornton of Jesup, Georgia was selected as " Georgia Baptist Sunday School Teacher of the Year." Now teacher of a ladies class at First Baptist Church of Jesup, Lois Thornton began teaching Sunday School at age 15 and has been teaching for 65 years. |
