The
Angel Pages

Angels have fascinated us through the ages. The first depiction of an angel in art dates back at least to 2500 BC. Some scholars believe this is a conservative estimate. It is widely believed that the Greek god and messenger between heaven and earth, Hermes, was actually an angel. In Greek, angel means messenger.

Angels are God's representatives on Earth. They serve as messengers, guardians, and miracle workers. They are ever ready to aid us, if we but remember to ask for their help.

Our guardian angels watch over us. They act as our companions and guides. Their presence can be felt in the gentlest of touches, or as firm as a shove out of harms way. Perhaps its the whisper of an angel in our ear that causes us to stop and aid a motorist broken down on a highway. The touch of an angel can have significant impact on all our lives.

Gabriel is one of God's angels who acts as a messenger. On my pages, you'll see more than a few artist's renditions of him announcing to Mary that she would give birth to Jesus Christ. It was also Gabriel who brought the news of the birth of the Christ child to the shepherds tending their flocks in the desert.

Angels have maintained a prominent place in the arts throughout history. They are a favorite subject of artists and poets. Enter my gallery and browse these next few pages. Proceed by hitting the next button. I hope you enjoy my angels, they're special to me.
