One More Ramen Bowl Please...
Two days before I was scheduled to come home, my car refused to start.  I sought help from a nearby ramen shop.  The owner helped me out throughout the night.  We talked about a bunch of things including Christianity and religion.  Since coming back, we've been able to continue the conversation, and now one of his employees are interested in sending her child to an English class.  Pray that these relationships would be Christ-centered in love and witness.
Mourning into Dancing?
Mr. Nemoto died a few weeks ago.  Moments before he died, he received Christ.  Funeral services were held in the church here in Date.  His wife, Ms. Horiguchi, and sister, Ms. Tsubota, have been coming to church since.  Pray that these two women would find Jesus.
Pray for the Pray
12/14: The two kids' English classes I'm teaching are going to put on a play on the Christmas story... in English.  There will be a total of 20 kids participating in the play ranging from ages 3 to 12.  Pray that the play would be an awesome witness in the community.
The Big 2-3
11/27: Hideyo will be turning 23.  Where did the last year go?  Pray another year of spiritual growth and God's blessing.
Preach On Preacher
12/8: With Pastor Igarashi out on a trip to Israel during this weekend in early December, I'll be preaching from the pulpit once again.  Pray for the preparations and that I would be speaking God's words from His heart.
ANSWER: The message entitled "A Life of Worship and Love" went well.  I'm still not at a Japanese level where I can give a message from an outline.  Even though it was scripted, people told me afterwards about how they felt both challenged and encouraged.  Thank you all!
ANSWER: A packed house on the day of the play.  Parents, friends, and family all came out to cheer on the kids in the play.  At the same time, the Gospel was preached... the seeds have been planted!
