The High Order of the Dragon

~An official Everquest™ guild website~

There are currently only two rules in the High Order of the Dragon.  They are:

1)      Be respectful at all times to all people

2)      Have fun

To elaborate on the first rule some policies are adhered to within the guild.

1 – Never sell items in guild chat.  There is a zone called the bazaar for that function.  Over the past year and a half several people have gone into money – item exchanges within guild, overall one person in the exchange getting the rough end of the deal.  This policy is in place to ensure that guild is given priority over all others in the game.

2 – Never beg for money, equipment, or power leveling, especially in guild.  We will offer gear, spells, power leveling sessions, and other things from time to time.  You may ask for those things then.  Do not ask otherwise.  All of us made it this far without being given things to make us strong.  In turn it’s made us stronger players.

3 – Always come to guild raids if not engaged in real life, of level, and online.  This supports the guild, the people you play with, and you.  Failing to come to guild raids makes us one person weaker for each that decides the guild is not important –while- you are online playing.  Grow with the guild.  Don’t grow yourself thinking that will help the guild.  Cause it does not.  It is just an excuse for you to be greedy.  Also, failing to come to a guild raid while you are online and not doing real life things will result in a strike.  Three strikes and you are removed from guild.

4 – Never steal from anyone.  Do not make false transactions.  This will result in immediate removal from guild and a petition to the GM’s.

5 – Take care of real life first!

6 – Do not degrade your fellow guild members.  If you see someone degrading guild members or the guild speak up and confront them.

7 – Arguing happens.  We’re a family in the High Order of the Dragon and like a family we have flaws internally.  But try to resolve them yourself and with the other parties.  As a last resort speak to the leaders or officers to attempt to resolve it.  Remember, when it’s all said and done we’re all still dragons in the end.

8 – In addition to policy 3, help out the guild when you can where you can.  You may take a few minutes or even a few days to help a person, but in the end as they grow stronger so will you.

9 – Officership is bestowed upon members for certain reasons.  Officers are allowed to make recommendations on officership to the leaders, but the leaders in turn have the final say about officership.  The leaders look for certain things that are constant in members; these are: loyalty, helpfulness, trustworthiness, charisma, leadership/followership.  Never ask to become an officer.  We chose the best members for officership because they never ask to become one, they act it before they ever become one.

10 – Officers have the authority to remove members in absence of the leaders.  If a warning has been issued to a member on failing to comply with the charter, the officer can consult with one other officer on removal.  If both agree to the removal then the officer may remove the member.  Leaders have the authority to remove after warning without consultation.  In the absence of a second officer the only officer on may remove if a warning has been given.

11 – Officers have the authority to invite members of any level, any class.  As long as they have not been removed from guild prior they may freely invite.  We do not PM for the guild.  We only offer two ways to join.  For level 45+ we expect the soon to be member to autojoin dragons chat channel and to raid with us at convienence.  The amount of raids depends on the strength of the person and how well guild members know that person.  For levels 1 to 44 we require them to accomplish a task set out by the officer or leader that is inviting.  The officer/leader has full say on what the soon to be member is to do, but within reason.  The 1 to 44 levels will autojoin dragons chat channel and be given the task by the officer/leader.  After completion of the task they are invited in.

12 – Do not ignore guild chat or dragons chat.  Guild chat channel is pretty clear on why not to ignore it and those in it.  Dragons chat channel is our ally/raid channel.  Lords of Light is on that channel and speak to us that way.  They are to be treated as if they were in guild.  Anyone else that is not ally nor guild is there under direct invitation from the leaders of the guild.  If you have a trusted friend you would like to be on the chat channel then contact the guild leaders.

13 – Overall, aside from the abilities granted to the leaders and officers, all members in the High Order of the Dragon are to be treated with the highest of respect and courtesy.  No matter what.
