Class Descriptions
~Preclogging 3-4 years- For young children just getting started, this class is designed to help tiny tots develop their motor skills and ability to keep time with the music! This is a fun class that mixes a variety of activities and preclogging steps and moves to build a students confidence. Precloggers have the opportunity to participate in both recitals, county fair, and rose festival performances.  30 minute class
~Young Beginners 5-6 years- This class is for those just getting started in clogging and includes children who have had preclogging. Children will participate in fun activities designed to develop coordination and ability to keep tune with the music. This young beginners class will include the same fun activities done in preclogging class, in addition to introduction to several of the basic clogging steps. Cloggers grow as they are encouraged to remember the step sequences in their dances, know left/right direction, and count the steps. Self confidence is built as cloggers perform  several times throughout the year. (county fair, two recitals, and the rose festival) 45 minute class

The beginners will learn the basic steps of clogging, clogging terminology, and traditional circle figures. This class includes a variety of fun activities and music to teach beginners. The class will learn a total of three dances to be performed throughout the year. (Christmas recital, spring recital, and the rose festival) The Beginner class is 45 minutes long.
~Intermediate Classes-  There are several different intermediate level classes offered. The instructors will determine which class best suits each child. Cloggers do not necessarily stay with the same  class each year. Cloggers grow as performers as they work on showmanship and precision, and are introduced to buck-style clogging as more advanced steps are taught. Classes learn routines which represent a wide range of styles and music. Skills, behavior, and age are all considered on an individual basis for class placement. Keep in mind that the number of years of experience does not necessarily determine the cloggers skill level.     45 minute class
