Plant Fiber Workshop The American Museum of Papermaking in Atlanta holds regular papermaking workshops, and this one focused on using plant fibers to make paper. I recently made some iris paper from dried iris stalks gathered from my yard--beats throwing them out! |
Paper in 3 Dimensions at Carriage House! 3D papermaking and collage are my biggest loves right now. In 2000, I went to Carriage House in Brooklyn for a weekend of learning ways to make 3-D paper. We also had a demo of pulp spraying (something I eventually want to get into). |
Papermaking at Penland: Making the Big Sheets In 1996, I attended the Book and Paper Intensive which was held at the Penland School (NC) that year. I took classes in Japanese papermaking, and shifu, the ancient Japanese craft of making woven garments from paper. |
