Systems Thinking and Systems Dynamics

The central concept to system thinking is understanding how all the objects in a system interact with one another. A system can be anything from a steam engine, to a bank account, to a basketball team. The objects and people in a system are in a state of continuous change affected by different variables.
They interact through "feedback" loops, where a change in one variable affects other variables over time, which in turn affects the original variable, and so on.
This results in complexity in predicting change. The behaviour of systems is counter-intuitive.
System Dynamics helps in modelling and understanding such systems.
Systems Dynamics helps in designing sound policies for development of societies.
