Two white bell tents and one unusual tent. 

The two white bell tents have a red 'v' strip on roof joining above door, red band about valance, red lining. The middle tent has another red band about the middle of the walls. 

The third tent could be a wedge tent or a bell tent with it's roof removed to show the person in the second tent. The tent has similar red bands on the walls and a red lining.

"And immediately he ordered that the bands (for the bridge he built over the Euphates) be dismantled. Then pitched camp and rested there."

One wedge tent and one bell tent. 

Yellow wedge tent, brown triangles at each apex (re-inforcing?), gold edging to door flaps.

Top:"Taking with him mares who had given birth, Alexander attempts to pass through the land of darkness. He left their foals at the camp. He came to a dark path...

Bottom:"...where there was a clear spring. Since Alexander was hungry, he wanted to eat bread. And calling for the cook, he asked him for food. When he put a dried fish in the water, it came to life and leapt from the cooks hands."

Red pointed bell tent, with a gold section inside the tent roof close to the apex. Mythistorima Tou Alexandrou, Kodix 5 (The Alexander Romance), Folio number; 132v. 

Bottom:"After travelling for sixty days, they reached the inhabited world and there for a short time, they ceased from their many toils and hardships."

Three wedge tents. 

Yellow wedge tent, black re-inforcing on each corner, white lines extend towards the door from each apex (could be the artists' attempt to show fabric tension), red edging to door flap. 

Red wedge tent, no re-inforcing evident on either corner, a gold lion decorates the wall on either side of the door, gold edging to door flaps. 

A smaller yellow wedge to is in the foreground and is very similar to the first tent.

Bottom:"When they had left that place and spent five days resting, all the army recovered their strength."

Top:"Alexander read Poros' letter to the army and heartened them."

Two wedge tents. 

Red wedge tent, black corner re-inforcements, gold edging to door way and gold pole. 

A small white wedge tent, black corner re-inforcement, a roundel (coloured alternatively red and black) decorates the walls on either side of the door, gold edging to door flap and gold pole.

Red wedge tent, no corner re-inforcing evident, gold edge to door flap, could almost indicate a gold lining. Mythistorima Tou Alexandrou, Kodix 5 (The Alexander Romance), Folio number; 165r. 

Top:"Here Kandake sends Alexander off with much baggage; she sends her son Kandavles to go with him as far as her borders, Kandavles gives him...

Bottom:"...thirty youths who escort Alexander as far as his army. Once there, Kandavles' men and his soldiers realize who he is and are amazed by his daring."
