This HDLA project was written, researched, and designed by Marcus Moche' of Gaspar de Portola Middle School. Thank you to Mr. Blurton for sponsoring me for this year's competition. As important as the Mother Road is to our country, there are some serious pitfalls to designing a website containing large amounts of information. One of the issues I encountered while building this site is that there is a lack of resources about Route 66. At the California State University of Northridge, there were two books on 66 and no periodicals. However, I have designed this website to be "the source" for Route 66 information. That may be an excellent contribution to the road itself.
