Daniel's part

How has your character evolved?

Scene - Lucius talks to Harry in Dumbledore's office.

Lucius - Well, let us hope that Mr. Potter will always be around to save the day.
Harry - Don't worry, I will be.

Daniel - I think Harry's character is very different from the first film. Basically in the first film, Harry's reactive to everything around him and in the second film he's very proactive.

How have you changed as an actor?

Daniel - I think everybody on set has really developed as actors and actresses.

Scene - Harry and Ron find out the monster in the Chamber is a Basilisk.

Daniel - One of the ways I think I developed is that I've now developed kind of two instincts - mine and Harry's instinct - and so if I'm in a situation in the film, I think how would Harry react to this and so I try to bring that across to the screen.

What was your favorite scene?

Scene - Harry and Ron arrive at  Hogwarts in the Flying Car and crash into the Whomping Willow. They are being attacked and screaming.

Daniel - Me and Rupert had a great time because we spent about a month in the flying car together. Those were some of the best filming days, I think was just the best of the film, where we could joke around and stuff.

Is making the movie fun?

Scene - After Dueling Club meeting

*Harry, Ron and Hermione run into a room.*
Ron - You're a Parselmouth, why didn't you tell us?
Harry - I'm a what?
Hermione - You can talk to snakes!

Daniel - It's a lot of fun, it's just cool because you just think......... I am so lucky. How many kids in the world would pay to be doing this right now?

(*Emma, Rupert and Dan talking*
Emma - I am taller than you, or I'll make myself taller than you!  *Emma stands on tiptoes trying to be taller than Dan.*
Rupert - *laughs*
Dan - Are you so determined to embarrass me? *More laughs from Rupert.*
Emma - I'm not determined to embarrass you. I'm determined to be taller than you are!
Dan - Same thing.  *All three of them laugh.*)

Daniel - It's so much better than school.

*Clip when Rupert makes Dan laugh in the flying car by making a funny noise.*

How do you all get along?

Daniel - It's so much fun, Rupert is incredibly funny.

*Clip in the background while Dan talks to all 3 of them at a table and Rupert is making Emma and Dan laugh*.

Daniel - Emma's very funny.

Daniel - Me and Tom get along in real life.

*Clip where Tom says please and him and Daniel are in Quidditch uniforms.*

Daniel - Matthew Lewis who plays Neville is really funny and we're into the same kind of music and stuff.  So it's just great fun to talk about things.

(Scene where Emma tries to be taller than Dan again.
Dan - Stop putting your chin up.  *Dan pulls down Emma's  chin*
Rupert - *Laughs*
Dan - You're cheating!
*They all laugh*)

Daniel - We just have a laugh all the time.
