阿姆達巴得（又譯作阿穆達巴）是西印度古吉拉特邦（又譯作古傑拉特邦，或　戈加瑞邦）的主要城市。人口超過四百五十萬，在印度全國排第七。Sabarmati河流經其中，舊城在其東岸，而對岸則是新城。我入住一間位於舊城區主幹道──救濟路(Relief Road)上的一間三星級酒店，步行五分鐘就到我要訪問的慈善機構。

Ahmedabad is a major city in the state of Gujarat, western India. With a population of over 4.5 million, it ranks seventh in terms of size of population amongst cities in India. River Sabarmati runs through the city. The old city is located on the east bank while the new city is built on the other side. I stayed in a three-star hotel on Relief Road, the main road of the old city, 5-minutes walk away from the charity which I visited.
