Year 1 Christmas Travel Journals

This is a collection of newsletters written during the Christmas holiday of my first year of undergraduate studies (December 2000 and January 2001). Although with the benefit of hindsight, the contents may seem a bit naive today, these journals reflect the optimistic sentiments in my first year in Cambridge, and the excitement that sightseeing in the UK and Europe has aroused in my youthful heart. Here I began an intellectual journey which continues to this very day to explore the past and present of the Western Civilisation that I admire so much, and these are also records of many a friendship that have been contributing to the abundance of my life.

大一聖誕遊記

這一系列的遊記是我大學一年級聖誕假期時所寫的（二千年十二月至二零零一年一月）。雖然如今有後見之明，覺得其中某些內容有點兒幼稚，但它們反映了我在劍橋第一年時的樂觀心情，以及周遊英國和歐洲在我年青的心靈中所帶來的興奮。在這裡，我開始了一段至今不息的知性之旅，去探索我非常欣賞的西方文明的來龍去脈。這些遊記也為那豐富了我生命的眾多友誼，留下一份記錄。
