The Hardest Part of Life Chapter 1 It was 4:30 in the morning and Megan received a phone call Megan: (groggy) Hello Josh: hey roo Megan: what the hell do you want Josh: I was just calling you to tell you that I will be home tonight Megan: ok that’s great but do you even know what the time is Josh: it’s 4:30 why Megan: that’s my point and you know that I go to work at 8:00 and I would like to get some more sleep Josh: oh sorry Megan: I got to go the baby is crying Josh: tell him I’ll see him tonight Megan: hello he is only 10 months old Josh: bye Megan and he is smart for 10 months Megan: Bye Megan got up and calmed Connor and went back to bed. She woke up 2 hours later to go to Old Navy where she works. She dropped Connor at Josh’s mom’s house and went to work. Megan and Connor are brother and sister. They used to live back in Bowie, Maryland. About a year ago their parents died in a horrible car accident. Which left Megan a 16-year-old to raise her 5-day-old brother. It was going horrible because Megan got up in the morning every time Connor cried and then took the baby to the neighbors and went to school. She came home and worked a part time job at Taco Bell. Then she pick her brother up and do her studies and go to bed. She had no time for relaxation. Her neighbor that she used to play with everyday when she was young was moving to Florida. He asked her to live with him down in Florida which she have time for things and not be so stressed. Since she had nothing stopping her she said yes. She had been living comfortably in a huge house with her brother and her life time best friend. He is on tour a lot so she still lives by her self many times. She dreaded going to work because she always misses Connor. She had to work to 9:30. When she got off she stopped by Mrs. Karen’s house (Josh’s mom) to pick up Connor. Tyler: hey Megan, how was your day Megan: it was ok, did Josh stop bye here Tyler: yeah he did, he said that he was going to go to the house and to meet him there. Karen: Connor is all ready, here you go Megan: thanks for watching him Karen: its no problem, you’re like family to us and with just you 2 it’s always fine (kisses Megan on the forehead) you drive safely back Megan: I will bye Mrs. Karen love you Megan drove back to the house and when she went in she decided to get Connor something to eat. The guys were in the back room and when Josh heard the door close he and the guys went into the living room and played video games. Josh: hey roo, we are in here Megan came out with Connor in her arms. The other four guys just stared at her because she was beautiful and they thought that Connor was her son. Josh: Come here and give me a hug Megan went and gave Josh a hug and a kiss on the cheek Josh: Megan this is Justin, Joey, Lance, and Chris (pointing them out) Megan: nice to meet you. Lance: whose the cute lil’ boy Megan: this is Connor my… Joey: if you don’t mind me asking, how old are you and Connor Megan: I just turned 17, 2 weeks ago and Connor is 10 months old why Chris: not to be rude or anything but aren’t you a little young to have a 10-month baby Megan: yes and he’s not my son he’s my brother Chris and Joey: I’m sorry Megan: that’s ok, I get it a lot, so does anyone want something to drink Chris: sure Megan: I’ll be right back, Josh will you take Connor JC: sure thing Megan went to grab a couple of sodas while the boys were talking Justin: you are a lucky one Joey: you never told us about Megan Chris: why is she living with you JC: ok hold up, why am I lucky, I never told you about her because you never asked, and she is living with me because I asked her too Justin: you’re lucky because she is hot and you’re going out with her JC: back up on second I am not dating her, we’re best of friends. Justin: is she single JC: ok, yes she is and she doesn’t date and especially not any of my friends Justin: well you never know Lance: where does she work JC: at old navy and at Tommy Hilifiger Justin: I’m going to go help Megan JC: whatever man J: hey Megan what do you say we go out tomorrow night to get to know each other more, Megan: no, for one I don’t date JC’s friends and anther because I don’t need anther relationship right now. J: hey ok but this won’t be the last time I ask you Megan: ok fine, here are the sodas, go give these to the guys. They were all talking about stuff and around a half-hour later Megan went to bed with Connor. Megan: well it’s been nice meeting you 4 guys, I have to get to bed because I have to go to TH tomorrow Lance: what’s TH Megan: Tommy Hilifiger Justin: what do you do there Megan: have my own lines of clothes Justin: what is it Megan: Tommy Girl Chasez Lance: JC that’s why you wouldn’t answer me when I said it had your last name. JC: well I guess, night Megan, night little buddy Megan went to put Connor in bed and then she went to bed.
