Chapter 11

"Justin, do you want to put your things in the car first?" JC asked.
"No, I'm not going with you three," Justin replied. "Sam's giving me a ride."
    "Why?" Joey asked.
"Because I asked her to.  I like talking to her. She's funny. And I'm kind of hoping we'll become...
close." He wiggled his brows. "You get my meaning?"
Joey laughed. "I should come, try to get closer. See which of us wins."
"Sam isn't a prize either of you can just win," JC snapped. Their talking disturbed him.
"Wasn't implying she is," Justin said. He turned to Joey.
"I think she likes me, so don't start flirting with her."
Joey sighed. "For you, my man, I won't flirt with that beautiful woman."

JC in the process of putting his and Lesley's things in the trunk, paused. Sam? Beautiful? he
thought.  She's pretty, but not... Yes, she is. She's one of the most beautiful women in the world. a
voice whispered.  A picture of her on the night of her graduation popped in his head. The dress she
had worn had looked so perfect on her, emphasizing her beauty.
JC was staring at the suitcase he'd just put in the trunk.  Justin watched him.  He knew what he and
Joey said about Sam disturbed JC, which was good.
Sarah and Bri pulled up, startling JC out of his reverie.  He finished loading the luggage. Sam pulled
up a few seconds later, and Justin put his things in the back, and climbed in.
They left a few minutes later.
Once the guys boarded their plane, Sam, Sarah, and Bri went shopping.  They decided to stay in
LA for the night, because it was so late, and they needed to do more shopping.  It was noon the next
day when they got back . Sam spent the day saying bye to her friends.  Most of them were leaving,
going to college, looking for jobs. And once they got back from their trip, Sam and Sarah were moving
to Florida.
Bri was flying back to New York, Wednesday, her plane left an hour before Sam and Sarah's, so
she was driving to LA with them.  They spent all Tuesday, packing and getting ready to leave.  Sam
had dinner with her mother and step father, thanking them once again for the trip and the $5,000 they
gave her for the trip.
"Check our mail please. And if a package for me, from the publishing company  comes in, call me
on my cell phone, or send it to me," Sam told  her mother.
"Still waiting for them to contact you?"
"Yep, but I only sent it out last Wednesday, so I didn't expect an answer yet."
"We'll check your mail." Elizabeth said. "And we'll call you the minute anything arrives."
"Thank you Mom," Sam hugged her mother and stepfather.
"Love you two. See you when we get back."
"Do you need a ride to the airport?" Robert asked.
"Sam shook her head. "Sarah's father is taking us down there. Bye." She said walking outside.
Robert and Elizabeth followed. "Bye," they called, waving as she got hin her car and drove away.

Sarah's father picked them up at six the next morning. Bri's plane left at nine-thirty, adn it was a two
and a half hour drive to LA.
After Bri boarded her plane, Sam and Sarah headed for their geate. They had a stop over in
Arlington,Virginia, so they didn't arrive in Paris until four Thursday morning (LA time).
A taxi was waiting for them, to take them to the hotel. Once they got to their room, the girls
collapsed on the beds. They slept the entire day, then spent the night and the next few days adjusting to
the time change.
Justin called Sam on Sunday. She and Sarah had just gotten in from shopping.
"Hi, Sam," Justin said, when Sam picked up the phone. "Are you two having fun?"
"Oh, hell yeah," Sam replied, laughing. Her heart still ached, but here in a place where she'd always
wanted to visit, she was able to push it to the back of her mind and enjoy herself.
"Sarah and I are having a blast, shopping , sightseeing, checking out guys."
"I'll be nice and not tell Chris his girlfriend is looking at other men."
"Thank you, Justin," Sam said, sweetly. "Like either of us care. Chris has checked out women
before."
"True," Justin said laughing. "But, you know Chris."
    "Crazy, and wildly possesive."
"Yep. That's him." They both laughed. "Can you and Sarah meet me in the lobby of your hotel
tomorrow at noon?"
"Noon?" Sam thought for a minute. "Sure. We didn't have anything planned for tomorrow anyways."

"Oh, I love you, too. Does having  Lunch with George Armand, and me sound fun?"
"George Armond?" Sam gasped. "You know George Armand? Why didn't you tell me before. I
love his clothes. My prom dress and graduation dress were both designed by him."
Justin smiled on the other end. "Do you have the dress you wore for graduation with you?"
    "Yeah, I do. Why?"
"Wear it tomorrow." Justin laughed. "Sam my dear, tomorrow is going to change your life."

"Okay, Justin, you're strange. But I'll do what you say and wear the dress."
    "Good."
"I've got to go. The bathroom is free, and I want to go soak in the huge tub that graces it."
    "Don't you have a suite?"
"Yeah, and each room has it's own bathroom. But the tub in Sarah's room is huge, and sarah has
been soaking in it."
"Oh okay, then go soak int eh tub, and relax your sore muscles."
    "I will. Bye."
    "Laters."
"Sarah." Sam said, hanging up the phone, "We're having lunch with Justin and George Armand
tomorrow."
"When and where? Sarah asked sitting on the couch.
"Justin said to meet him in the lobby of our hotel at noon."
"Do we need to dress up?" Sarah called as Sam  walked to her room.
"He told me to wear the dress I wore at graduation, So yeah. I'd say dress up."
"Okay. I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up when you getout of the tub." Sarah streched out on
the couch. She was soon asleep.
