HONEYCRACK - London Splash Club
14 September 1995

Review by Dave from SFK ezine.

If you didn't know by now, HONEYCRACK is the band formed by ex-Wildhearts CJ and Willie. The Spalsh club is also one of the smallest venues in London, and has no air conditioning, windows, skylights etc.. It was full in there tonight, and consequently very hot. There were two support acts tonight. Holy Joes, (I think!), were very good. Fairly tight with some good rockin' songs. The second band, (don't know what they were called), werrn't quite as good. Honeycrack... well they were fuckin' brill. CJ and Willie sing harmonies for the most of it, with the rest of the band joining in when they feel like it. Three guitars play crunching riffs, bass and drums compliment things nicely, and what comes out of the speakers is a wonderful verbal onslaught of sound. 'King Of Misery', 'Five Minutes', 'I Hate Myself' and 'Good Good Feeling' were just some of the titles as they rattled through their set. They have only released one single to date, and all I want to know is WHERE'S THE BLOODY ALBUM...???
